Devices that fit the USB 3.2 Gen 1 spec (formerly known as USB 3.0) can reach transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps on one port for external storage, printing and more. That port also lets you charge your phone or tablet with power up to 4.5 W (5 V / 0.9 A). The other two ports are Hi-Speed USB 2.0 ports with transfer speeds up to 480 Mbps - they are ideal for a mouse, keyboard and other peripherals - and offer power up to 2.5 W (5 V / 0.5 A).
